Dear Friend,

With the season of giving upon us, please support the work of the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center by becoming a BMAC member or making a donation to our Annual Fund. We’re wrapping up one of our most impactful years ever, and with your help we will do even more in 2025.

  • During the past year, BMAC served 19,000 people from all walks of life. Children and seniors, neighbors and tourists, seasoned museumgoers and curious newcomers came to BMAC to see Aurora Robson's sparkling reclaimed-plastic sculptures, Art Costa's entrancing deep-sea creatures, Saks Afridi's captivating SpaceMosque, and much more.

  • Thirty-nine school groups visited BMAC in the past year—a total of 783 kids, many of whom had never been to a museum before.

  • Our education staff made 141 visits to local public schools, Head Start classrooms, and senior centers—bringing art and companionship to those who couldn’t easily get to the museum.

  • We presented 51 evening and weekend events—artist talks, book launches, lectures, concerts, and workshops—contributing mightily to the cultural and economic vitality of downtown Brattleboro and the surrounding region.

  • Committed to supporting our community’s increasingly diverse population, we hosted the Asian Cultural Center of Vermont's Lunar New Year celebration, welcomed students involved with The Root Center for Social Justice to a meet-and-greet with Wu-Tang Clan rapper Killah Priest, and collaborated with the Ethiopian Community Development Council to offer an art therapy program for local refugees.

  • And we continued to share art outside the museum’s walls, with programs like Artful Ice Shanties, which drew over 2,000 visitors to Retreat Farm.

The world today is filled with daunting challenges, which can sometimes feel overwhelming. That's why all of us at BMAC are more committed than ever to being a source of light and hope—to bringing people together through art and fostering understanding, appreciation, and respect for all.

Please give as generously as you possibly can to help us continue doing this vital work in 2025 and beyond.

On behalf of all of us here at BMAC, I thank you for your kind consideration.

With gratitude and warm wishes,

Danny Lichtenfeld
Director
